Anything older than 50 years, I can't get my head around. It's just a number to me. In Istanbul, things are pretty old. Take Ayasofya, it was constructed in 537. I mean, what's that? So I've gotten in the habit of gauging how old a place is by looking how the floors have worn. By my measure, this place is *really* old.
